THE FINAL EXAM

If not for your sweet curves and sugar lips, how would I know bitterness?
If not for your striking grit, how would I know timidity?
If not for your heavy and boundless laughs, how would I know silence?

Your existence is the classroom,
your wisdom on the chalkboard,
and me
an eager student.

But desire is clumsy.
I have lost my notes,
and you are particularly unforgiving.

Life lacks much sincerity without your expertise.
I must learn to walk the hallways without your hand clasped in mine.

FINAL EXAM ANSWERS:

A shattered heart is a powerful prophet.
If not for love, for lessons.
